Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Jermaine Beckford has been full of praise for Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah.
Salah put on a real show against Manchester City at the weekend. He scored one of the goals of the season while he also set up Sadio Mane’s opening goal.
The Egyptian has been the talk of the town after his showing at Anfield and now Beckford has given his view on the attacker.
What’s been said?
Beckford was blown away by Salah.
“Definitely, the second half was by far the most entertaining half of football I’ve seen for a while. It was like a basketball game going end to end. Mo Salah, what a player, he’s incredible. Jota and Mane as well, wow,” Beckford said.

What more can you say?
What can we say about Salah that hasn’t already been said?
There’s genuinely an argument to be made that he’s the best footballer in the world right now, and against City he showed exactly what he’s about.
He’s one of the fastest players in the world, one of the best dribblers in the world and one of the best finishers in the world.
You really can’t ask for much more from an attacker, and the scary thing is that he just seems to be getting better and better.
If Salah keeps this up, it’s hard to see any side stopping Liverpool from wrestling back their Premier League title this season.
