What a performance by Arsenal loanee Charlie Patino on Saturday.

The 19-year-old helped Blackpool to a brilliant 4-2 victory over Preston North End yesterday afternoon.

Patino, considered one of Arsenal’s most exciting prospects coming through, scored and set up another against the Lilywhites.

In addition to that, the teenage sensation managed to create two goalscoring chances [WhoScored].

After the game, the Arsenal product reacted to the victory on Instagram.

And Blackpool teammate Lewis Fiorini, also on loan from Manchester City, responded: “What a player.”

Bukayo Saka also responded to Patino in the form of clapping hand emojis.

It’ll be fascinating to see what the future holds for this fella.

Obviously he’s a class act and this loan in the Championship will probably do him the world of good, just like it did Harvey Elliott of Liverpool during the 2020-21 campaign when he signed for Blackburn Rovers on a temporary basis.

Cutting your teeth in England’s second tier is a brilliant way in which to prepare you for the Premier League.

And it’ll be interesting to see if Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta – already a big fan of the player – deems Patino to be sufficient for the 2023-24 campaign.

That’s quite a while away yet and the important thing is that Patino continues doing his thing on loan which, judging by Saturday, he will do.
