Brighton midfielder, Adam Lallana, stated ‘what a pic’ after Steven Gerrard posted an image of his Aston Villa backroom staff on Instagram.

Aston Villa beat Everton 1-0 on Saturday, with Emiliano Buendia scoring the only goal of the game.

After the match, Gerrard posted on social media, ‘find me a better firm’, as he added the caption with an image of his staff walking away from Goodison with all three points.

Slowly but surely, Gerrard is starting to get his feet warm at Villa Park and things are progressing well.

The style of play is evident for the supporters to see, whilst the team has progressed as a whole, alongside individual players.

Added with that, Villa have managed to bring in some top-quality signings in January, including Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Digne.

The aim is for the Midlands side to get back into Europe and put trophies in their cabinet.

Securing European football might not happen this season because of how far behind they are, but there’s no doubt Villa will still give it a go.

But, come next season, when more new faces are added, Villa will be aiming for the top-six and hoping they can return to better days.

After winning the Scottish Premiership title with Rangers and ending Celtic’s quest to win ten-in-a-row, the signs suggest that Gerrard will do the business in B6.
