Some Rangers fans on Twitter are on board with the report that they’re set to sign Fashion Sakala this summer.
The Daily Record reported on Friday night that Rangers were ‘closing in’ on a deal to sign the 24-year-old Zambian hitman, who has netted 13 goals from 28 games in all competitions for KV Oostende this season.
Sakala is out of contract with the Belgian outfit in a few months and it looks like the player is set to snub interest from elsewhere – including Lille – for the sake of playing under Gers boss Steven Gerrard, potentially in the Champions League.
The Record added that Rangers have offered him a long-term deal.

The newly-crowned Premiership champions are 20 points clear of Celtic in the league table and with a number of pre-contract agreements tied up in January, a deal for Sakala only reinforces the idea that Rangers are already building for next season, which is ominous for the Hoops when you consider the fact they haven’t hired a manager yet.
