Stoke City supporters on Twitter have reacted to the rumours that they want to sign Jack Clarke from Tottenham this month.
Last summer, Spurs secured the services of Clarke from Leeds United, but a change of manager and indifferent form for the club, didn’t help his progression.
The Daily Mail have claimed that Clarke could be on his way to England’s second-tier during the winter transfer window, with Stoke showing interest.
There are a section of Stoke supporters who are excited at the prospect at signing the versatile attacker.
Clarke is someone who likes to attack opposition defenders with his very direct style and be that impact player rather than someone who is all-action during the 90 minutes.
A move away from Tottenham is needed and a switch to promotion-hopefuls Stoke would do him and the club wonders.
Clarke understands the pressures of trying to earn promotion because he played for Leeds United, who were pushing for promotion under Marcelo Bielsa in his first full season in charge before doing the business the following campaign.
