Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after spotting Curtis Jones trying to give his shirt away after the 2-0 win over Preston last night.

What’s the story?

Well, as he was applauding the Liverpool fans at Deepdale, Jones decided to waltz into the crowd to gift one lucky supporter with his shirt.

However, a few busy-body stewards rushed in to try and stop him, for whatever reason.

After appearing to stand and chat with them for a few seconds, Jones then escapes and proceeds to give the shirt away anyway – what a rebel.

You can understand why the Liverpool fans below loved this.

We see no reason why stewards would attempt to stop a player from going near his own supporters – it’s hardly like they’re going to harm Jones.

At just 20 years of age, Jones is already proving to be an important player under Jürgen Klopp.

At a club like Liverpool, you can’t expect to start every game, so it’s vital to make an impact when you do end up on the pitch.

Jones certainly seems aware of that, as he’s grabbing his opportunities this term with both hands.

In just two Champions League appearances, the Academy graduate has provided two assists.

Furthermore, Jones also has a goal and an assist in four Premier League appearances – he is making an impact in the final third.

Aged just 20, he could become a superstar under Klopp.

For now, let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about what Jones did after full-time…
