Some Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that the Gunners could have to pay between £30 million and £40 million for Sander Berge.

The Star reported earlier this month that Arsenal are among the clubs who are interested in signing Berge from Premier League rivals Sheffield United in the summer of 2021.

The same publication has now claimed that the Blades are looking for between £30 million and £40 million for the 23-year-old Norway international midfielder, who has been on the sidelines since December due to injury to a tendon in his leg,

United are really struggling in the Premier League at the moment, and it is very likely that they will end up in the Championship at the end of the season.

Berge has had injury problems, but the Norwegian is a very good player who can still improve and develop as he is only 23.

According to WhoScored, Berge scored one goal and provided one assist in 13 Premier League games for the Blades this season before his injury.

Asking for between £30 million and £40 million is quite a lot for a player who is likely to be in the Championship next season, and it remains to be seen if Arsenal are willing to pay that kind of fee.

Some Arsenal fans on Twitter have urged manager Mikel Arteta not to pay that much money for Berge and to look at other options.
