Jamie O’Hara is fuming that Tottenham star Son Heung-min has been overlooked for the PFA Premier League Player of the Season. O’Hara believes the South Korea skipper has been “world class” this season.

Son, 29, sits second behind Liverpool’s Mo Salah in the goalscoring rankings, just one off the Egyptian star – with 21 league goals this term. He could find the back of the net this weekend, against rock-bottom Norwich.

But Son – and Harry Kane – who were in both Jamie Carragher, and Gary Neville’s Teams of the Season, have been overlooked. The nominations do have a surprise inclusion, in Crystal Palace midfielder Conor Gallagher.

The on-loan Palace star is named alongside Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden, as well as Liverpool stars Mo Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Declan Rice is also included, and O’Hara is not happy.

Son has been simply sensational for Tottenham. When Kane was struggling at the beginning of the campaign, Son stepped up. He has continued that form alongside Kane, as the England skipper continues to improve.

Not only has he scored 21 goals in 34 games, the ex-Bayer Leverkusen man has also laid on seven assists. Incredible stats, especially if Spurs finish in fourth. The attacker has just as important as Kane in the race for fourth.

There are question marks over Rice, given West Ham have not improved upon their 2020-21 campaign. While including Gallagher is certainly left-field. There is certainly a case to be had that Son has been better than both.
