Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after a GIF emerged of Thiago Alcântara’s reaction to Roberto Firmino’s goal against Sheffield United.
The Brazilian waltzed through a number of defenders at Bramall Lane on Sunday, before a deflection helped take his shot past Aaron Ramsdale.
After the net ripples, Thiago can be seen running over to celebrate with Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones.
On his way to the trio, the Spaniard is pumping his fists passionately and appears to be shouting something – he seems overjoyed as he lets out a release of emotion.
After seeing the footage, a number of Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter in delight at the 29-year-old’s passion for the Reds.
The former Barcelona maestro has endured a tough debut campaign in England under Jürgen Klopp.
Liverpool have been completely decimated by injuries, which have affected their Premier League form severely.
This has impacted Thiago greatly, as Fabinho – who would offer him plenty of protection in midfield – has had to drop back into defence, and the same goes for Jordan Henderson.
Perhaps it is a result of his tough time at Anfield so far that there was such a release of emotion coming from the former Bayern Munich man.
