Some Arsenal fans have taken over a club tweet from Norwich City.

The Championship leaders beat Barnsley 1-0 at Carrow Road this afternoon and it was a goal from a certain Gunners-linked player that did the damage.

Football London reported last month that Arsenal were keen on the 24-year-old Argentine attacker – and Eurosport claimed on Friday that £25 million would be enough to get him to the Emirates Stadium.

The North Londoners are also said to have scouted the player extensively.

Twitter has been awash with Buendia-to-Arsenal rumours for some months now – and as soon as Norwich confirmed the goal on social media, Gunners fans turned up in their droves.

Here’s how they reacted to Buendia’s latest goal:

The South American, who can play on either wing or as a number 10, has six goals and seven assists in 16 Championship outings this season.

Yes, it’s the Championship, but this is a player who also impressed in the Premier League last season despite City’s relegation and if Arsenal can get him, it might be considered a bit of a coup because £25 million isn’t a massive amount of money.
