Gareth Ainsworth told Soccer Special on Sky Sports (03/02/21 at 21:00 pm) that Leeds United defender Luke Ayling was causing Everton ‘so many problems’ during their Premier League encounter last night.
Even though Leeds fell to a 2-1 defeat on home soil, the Wycombe boss, who was working as a pundit for Sky, stated that Leeds’ right-back had a ‘fantastic game’.
Leeds would argue that they perhaps deserved something from the match, as the Yorkshire outfit dished up yet another feisty and all-action encounter.
As the game was drawing to a close, Ainsworth was sharing what Everton were doing wrong, as he praised Ayling for his display.
“Everton just need to settle the ball, at times,” said Ainsworth. “They need to bring the ball to feet rather than just booming it in the air and putting it out of play.
“That’s just letting Leeds come back at them and Leeds are playing really well.
“I mean Ayling, for me, what a fantastic game he has had. So much energy up and down that wing. He’s causing so many problems.”

For Leeds, it’s another stop-start result as the newly-promoted side try their best to find some consistency in the league.
There’s no doubt that the Yorkshire outfit have been the entertainers this season and their all-action style has won over a lot of fans.
But they are only four points behind seventh-placed Tottenham having played a game extra, and those at Elland Road would have taken that at the start of the campaign.
