Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are absolutely buzzing after it emerged that Joel Matip will be available for selection against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds were without Matip for their midweek game against Tottenham Hotspur, but fortunately, they managed to navigate that match without the Cameroon international.

Indeed, Liverpool managed to beat their closest title rivals on Wednesday without the help of Matip, and now he’s back there’s still a question of whether or not he should go straight back into the XI.

Regardless of the selection headache this could end up giving Jurgen Klopp, supporters on Twitter were overjoyed to hear that Matip would be back in action.

It’s been a good week for the Reds on that front as well, Diogo Jota said on Friday that his recovery is going well, while Thiago Alcantara was pictured back in training ahead of the Palace game.

This is just the latest piece of good news Liverpool fans have received, and as you can imagine, they took to social media to show just how happy they are.

One fan remarked that the club have had a lot of good news since beating Spurs, while others were just generally happy to see the centre-back is prepared to return.

Here’s what the Anfield faithful have been saying on social media…
