Man City have been titans in the League Cup ever since the club asserted themselves as one of England’s biggest and best teams. And one stat highlights their dominance in the competition.

As posted by City Xtra on Twitter, Pep Guardiola’s side have not lost a League Cup match in five years. In that time, the Manchester giants have won the competition in the past four seasons.

With Man City again impressing in the League Cup this season, the Premier League champions once again look like the favourites to secure one of the two domestic cups on offer.

Guardiola’s side take on West Ham tomorrow night in east London. And Man City will no doubt be fired up to make it to the quarter-finals of the League Cup.

Indeed, five years undefeated in any competition is one heck of an impressive feat. And for City, they have made the League Cup their won in recent years.

Since the takeover, Man City have won the League Cup an astonishing six times. More than any club in the competition.
