Harvey White was among Tottenham Hotspur’s stand-out players in a big win for the reserves this afternoon.
Spurs Under-23 side thumped their West Ham United equivalent 3-0.
And the 18-year-old midfielder had a big hand in all three of Tottenham’s goals.
White set up two goals and scored the other himself from the penalty spot in what was an inspired all-round display from the teenager.
And here’s what some fans of the North London club were saying about him after the game finished:
The Lilywhites have a lot of talented young players, but White is up there as being the most promising.
Even senior coach Jose Mourinho said in July that he has told the club that he wants the youngster involved in the first team this season.
Mourinho said via Football London: “Even in relation to Cirkin and Harvey White, I already told the club that I would like them to be with me next season in the first team squad.”
Tottenham’s first League Cup game isn’t far away and on the back of this performance, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the Portuguese put his money where his mouth is and promotes White.
Mourinho’s side visit Leyton Orient in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
