Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to react after Mikel Arteta spoke about Nicolas Pépé, following the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace.
The Spaniard said: “He’s changed his mindset. He wants to work, he wants to be the best. When that happens with the talent he has, I think it’s a really good mixture.”
Now, it seems as if something has started to click with the £72 million man.
In fairness to him, his struggles haven’t been entirely his fault at times.
Arteta often tinkers with his lineup, and it’s difficult to find your rhythm as a forward when that happens.
However, for the huge amount of talent Pépé has, he should’ve been doing better.
Nevertheless, Arsenal’s No.19 is starting to get somewhere, perhaps due to the change in mindset which Arteta refers to.
The £100,000-a-week man now has 14 goals in all competitions this season, which isn’t bad at all.
The 25-year-old has also provided five assists.

One supporter below excitedly tweeted that Arsenal have found their very own Bruno Fernandes after hearing Arteta’s comments.
That might be a bit of a stretch.
However, with his talent, there’s no reason why Pépé can’t match the Manchester United man’s 28 goals this season.
It’s not just down to him though.

It’s also down to Arteta to trust his No.19, and start him consistently even when he’s finding things tough out there on the pitch.
Hopefully, the Ivorian doesn’t slip back into his old mindset, and Arsenal can see the player who tore Crystal Palace apart more often next term.
If Arteta and Pépé are on the same page next season, opponents better watch out.
For now, let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Arteta’s comments…
