Richard Keys has said on Twitter that Conor Coady’s goal for Everton against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Goodison Park in the Merseyside derby should have stood.

The former Sky Sports presenter believes that Coady was not in an offside position when he scored for Everton against Liverpool in the Premier League game today.

You can read beIN SPORTS presenter Keys’s tweet on the controversial incident below.

Controversial incident

Conor Coady had the ball in the back of the Liverpool net in the 70th minute for Everton.

The defender poked in from point-blank range following Neal Maupay’s low drive into the middle.

However, VAR reviewed the incident and overturned it due to offside.

It was only marginal.

Encouraging from Everton

In our opinion, Everton played well against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby today.

The Goodison Park faithful will be encouraged by what they saw from the players.

Everton went close to scoring on a number of occasions, created chances, and defended well.

Everton manager Frank Lampard certainly had his players fired up for the match.
