The midfielder is ready to make an impact for Burnley.

It has been a rather frustrating season so far for Ashley Westwood, with the Burnley midfielder’s playing time being restricted, but he could be heavily involved for Sean Dyche’s side in the remainder of the campaign.
With Burnley performing so effectively as a unit and Jack Cork and Steven Defour impressing at the base of the midfield, it has been difficult for Westwood to get much of a look in.
Indeed, so far this campaign Westwood has been restricted to just 55 minutes of playing time in the Premier League, which has been spread across seven substitute appearances.

The 27-year-old did, however, show some encouraging signs in the FA Cup defeat to Manchester City last weekend and will hope that he can now become increasingly involved for Burnley.
Effective at breaking up play, Westwood is composed on the ball and helps to set the tempo for his side by playing short, snappy passes.
Westwood possesses a considerable amount of Premier League experience from his time at Aston Villa and will be ready to make a major impact for Burnley if called upon.

Currently in seventh place in the Premier League, Burnley will be determined to maintain their momentum and conclude the season strongly.
In order to fulfil that objective they need to make the most of their squad, and Westwood is amongst those waiting for his chance.
