Weston McKennie has seemingly just confirmed his transfer to Leeds United by sharing a post on Instagram where he is being congratulated on his move by his agency Wasserman.

The USMNT is going to join Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United from Serie A giants Juventus in a reported £30 million deal, but nothing has yet been confirmed by either club.

Although the hard-hitting midfielder did share his agency’s IG post about his Leeds move, which proves it’s only a matter of time – this has since been deleted, which you can see in the tweet below.

GREAT DEAL BY LEEDS UNITED

When all of this is signed, sealed and delivered, it will prove to be a top, top transfer.

Some might say add Valencia and USMNT star Yunus Musah to the proceedings and Marsch has the full American midfield set.

Either way, this is a player dropping down from the Champions League to play for the Yorkshire giants.

He is a Champions League-level player, so the Whites fans should be excited by this move. What makes it even better is that he won’t have to adapt as much because Marsch knows his game inside and out, plus his understanding with Tyler Adams and Brendan Aaronson in the middle of the park.

It might not be producing the results, at this moment in time, but for the long term, Leeds are building quite a young, vibrant, forward-thinking and fearless team that might just cook in the Premier League next season.

Until then, they have to get out of the danger and avoid having to head to the last day of the Premier League season needing to survive again.

And, in truth, with the likes of Weston McKennie, Georginio Rutter, Rodrigo, Patrick Bamford, Tyler Adams and Wilfried Gnonto on the books, this Leeds team should only be looking up during these next few months.
