According to Wales Online, Cardiff City are eyeing up a summer swoop for West Ham winger Robert Snodgrass, but West Bromwich Albion should join the Bluebirds in the race for the Scotland ace’s signature.

The Baggies endured a difficult Premier League campaign last season – one that eventually culminated in their relegation down to the Championship, and they are in desperate need of an injection of quality this summer.

Snodgrass, 30, would be the ideal addition to the West Brom squad, and would certainly help add a level of potency to their play in the final third.

The Scotland international is heavily experienced in playing Championship football, having spent spells with Leeds United, Norwich City, Hull City and Aston Villa.

Snodgrass experienced a wonderfully successful campaign on a personal level with Villa last season, and chalked up eight goals and 13 assists in 40 Championship outings.

His exceptional technical ability, combined with a supremely dangerous left-foot makes him such a threat in the final third, and he would be a huge asset for West Brom next season.

The Black Country outfit’s lack of goals last season eventually proved to be costly, and they absolutely must add more quality in forward positions this summer.

Snodgrass is the perfect man for the job, but West Brom might have their work cut-out in their hopes of tempting the 30-year-old to move down to the Championship, especially with Premier League side Cardiff’s reported interest in signing him.
