The Fiorentina man is reportedly wanted by West Ham United.

According to a report form the London Evening Standard, West Ham want to tie up a deal to sign Carlos Sanchez from Fiorentina before transfer deadline day, with the Colombian being seen as a replacement for Cheikhou Kouyate, but would signing the 32-year-old be a backward step from the Hammers?
Manuel Pellegrini has gone about his business quickly and ruthlessly this summer, and even the most pessimistic of West Ham fans would be hard pushed to suggest that this transfer window has been anything other than an outstanding success thus far.
The Evening Standard’s report suggesting that the Hammers are interested in bringing Sanchez to the London Stadium, though, is baffling to say the least.
At 32, the Colombia international is already on the downward spiral, and moving back to England from the more pedestrian Serie A could be too much of a step up in intensity.

Sanchez spent three unsuccessful years with Aston Villa, after joining the Villans from Elche in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £4.7 million.
Considering the struggles he had in adapting to life at Villa, and the fact that his is now four years older, there is no reason to suggest why he would be a success at West Ham, and he’s far from being an adequate replacement for Kouyate.
The Hammers would be best off avoiding a move for Sanchez, and instead focus their attention elsewhere.
