According to The Mirror, reported Everton target and West Ham United youngster Reece Oxford wants to join Arsenal.

It has been reported that Arsenal, Everton and Borussia Monchengladbach are interested in signing Oxford from West Ham in the January transfer window.

The Hammers are keen on selling the 20-year-old – who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder – in January, according to The Mirror.

The report has claimed that Arsenal may not be able to sign Oxford until the summer of 2019 due to limited funds, and that the England Under-20 international – who earns £20,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – is willing to wait until the end of the season to make the switch to the Gunners.

Leaving West Ham United

Oxford is a very talented and promising young defender, and the Englishman will be a good signing for Arsenal in the long run.

However, the youngster could struggle for regular playing time at Arsenal, although it must be said that leaving the Hammers for the Gunners would be a step-up.
