Napoli have reportedly joined West Ham United in the race to sign the PSG star.
According to a report from Italian media outlet Calcio Mercato, West Ham’s pursuit of Javier Pastore just became that little bit more complicated, with Napoli joining them in the race for the Argentine’s signature.
The Hammers are keen on signing the Paris Saint-Germain ace, according to Sky Sports, with his extortionate £190,000 per week wage demands originally believed to be the only stumbling block.
The 28-year-old has enjoyed a fruitful period with PSG since joining the French champions in 2011, and has chalked up an impressive 45 goals and 62 assists in 269 appearances in all competitions.
He would be a quite simply outstanding signing for West Ham, but it seems as though his wage demands is not the only problem for the east London outfit.
Calcio Mercato claim that Serie A runners up Napoli have joined the Hammers in the race for Pastore’s signature, and that could represent even more of a problem than the Argentine’s wage demands.
The attacking midfielder could be available for around £17.5 million this summer, according to Sky Sports, but it seems increasingly more likely that he will not be moving to West Ham.
