The West Ham United midfielder continued to impress despite his side losing 2-1 to Chelsea this week.

West Ham United were unable to dent Chelsea’s title hopes on Monday evening as the Blues ran out 2-1 winners at the London Stadium.
Eden Hazard and Diego Costa scored for Chelsea, ensuring Manuel Lanzini’s injury-time strike was a mere consolation, but despite their disappointment West Ham had some impressive performers on the night.
While mistakes cost the Hammers, Lanzini and fellow midfielder Pedro Obiang looked impressive throughout, with the Spaniard doing everything in his power to negate the threat of Chelsea’s powerful midfield.
Obiang had to wait patiently for his chance to impress at West Ham however he has now seized it with both hands, becoming an integral part of Slaven Bilic’s squad in the process.
| Passing Accuracy | Tackles Won | Duels Won | Aerials Won | Ball Recoveries | Effective Clearances | Effective Headed Clearances | Dispossessed | Mins Played | |

On Monday the Hammers midfielder finished the match with a passing accuracy of 83 per cent while he won a very impressive nine duels and did even better when it came to ball recoveries, successfully battling back on 10 occasions.
Obiang also won five tackles, doing his best to stamp his mark on the midfield despite the presence of Chelsea maestro N’Golo Kante.
West Ham may have lost on this occasion, but as long as they keep Obiang in their squad they will enjoy more days than they endure.
