The West Ham United midfielder has fallen down the pecking order under Manuel Pellegrini.

West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and offered high words of praise for club captain Mark Noble, suggesting that he always tries to listen and learn from the 31-year-old.
The Spaniard joined the Hammers from Sampdoria in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £4.3 million, and he has gone on to be a decent servant for the east London outfit.
Noble, meanwhile, began his career with West Ham, and has firmly established himself as a firm favourite amongst the Hammers fanbase.
Obiang was actually linked with an exit from West Ham in the summer, but he eventually ended up staying in east London, and the 26-year-old spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, sharing how he is still trying to learn and improve every day:

“What we have here with Mark Noble and, when you have that kind of captain, you have to listen to them and improve.”
Next up for West Ham is a trip to Everton after the international break, and Obiang will be hoping for a chance to impress at Goodison park, although it remains unclear as to whether he features in Pellegrini’s long-term plans.
