Tottenham Hotspur are into the Champions League final after a stunning fightback against Ajax.

Tottenham Hotspur have somehow made it into the Champions League final after producing a simply breathtaking comeback away at Ajax.
Down 1-0 from the first leg in North London, Spurs needed to overturn the deficit in Amsterdam, but fell behind early to a Matthijs de Ligt header.
When Hakim Ziyech rattled a left-footed drive past Hugo Lloris for 2-0, it looked like game over. Spurs needed at least three goals in the second half, without conceding again.
Somehow, both things happened. Spurs rode their luck at times at the back, but Lucas Moura’s second half hat-trick – including a 95th minute winner – sent Spurs into the final.
Just 24 hours after Liverpool are staged their own comeback against Barcelona, Tottenham followed suit in Amsterdam, and the two Premier League sides will now meet in the final in Madrid next month.
It’s a staggering achievement for Spurs, who haven’t signed a player since January 2018 when they landed, ironically, Lucas Moura, and were without their star striker in Harry Kane.

Mauricio Pochettino deserves all the plaudits in the world for leading this Spurs side into the Champions League final, and he’s even received credit from a local rival.
West Ham United midfielder Moses Makasi took to Twitter last night to hail Pochettino, putting the rivalry between the two clubs aside to give an honest verdict, praising him for working on such a tight budget, and respecting Pochettino as he let his emotions show at full time.
