West Ham United recently appointed Manuel Pellegrini as their new manager.
West Ham skipper Mark Noble sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and shared his excitement at the prospect of working under Manuel Pellegrini, whilst opening up on what he plans to tell the Chilean about the club’s history.
The Hammers parted ways with David Moyes at the end of the season, after the Scot guided his side to a 13th placed finish in the Premier League table.
Whilst Moyes did what was asked of him, the owners obviously want to see a more exciting, attacking brand of football on display at the London Stadium next term, and appointed Pellegrini in place of the recently departed Scot.
The former Manchester City manager’s arrival in east London is expected to coincide with a new area of success for West Ham, and Noble told the club’s official website how important it will be for the 64-year-old to immediately grasp the importance of the club’s traditions:
“As captain, I am looking forward to welcoming the new manager to the Club when we return for pre-season training. I’m sure I’ll have a chat with him before then and I’ll definitely give him the lowdown on West Ham United and what the Club means to its supporters, although I am sure he has already done his own homework and knows plenty about the Club and its traditions.”
Expectations at the London Stadium are incredibly high, and Pellegrini will have to hit the ground running, if he is to get the club’s fans onside immediately.
