Tottenham star Kane has come under criticism from fans and pundits alike.

West Ham United captain Mark Noble has told the Evening Standard that criticism of Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is unfair, and that those slamming the England captain need to lay off his back.
Kane, 25, has struggled this season, scoring only two goals in six league and cup encounters for Spurs, who have coincidentally lost three straight matches against Watford, Liverpool and Inter Milan in the Champions League.
The striker has been criticised of being tired, looking sluggish and failing to provide the kind of quality that saw him shine for the north Londoners last season.
Noble put aside rivalry between West Ham and Spurs to comment on Kane in his Evening Standard column, stating that Kane’s criticism is harsh and deserves to be held in higher regard.
“I think it’s ludicrous the amount of criticism he’s getting recently,” Noble said. “He’s the England captain, he’s just led our nation to a World Cup semi-final and given us the most enjoyment we’ve had in a long time watching our national team.
“He had about a week’s holiday before coming back, he and his missus have a new baby so give him a break. He’s only human. No-one can play at their peak all the time and even the best will have little periods when the goals dry up.
“Harry does a lot more for both England and Spurs than score goals and, as a nation, we need to stick by him a little bit. We need to remember he’s one of our country’s best players – if not the best player – and he will come back soon.”

Kane’s goalscoring record is impeccable, scoring 142 times in 219 appearances for Spurs and amassing 19 strikes for England in just 32 caps.
Tottenham face Brighton Saturday in the evening kick off, while West Ham will look to build on their 3-1 win over Everton by defying the odds against Chelsea on Sunday. Spurs and West Ham do battle at the London Stadium on October 20.
