The Hammers host the Toffees on Saturday afternoon, with attacking stars sure to be key to who comes out on top.

This weekend sees West Ham United host Everton at Upton Park, in a game that has often been one to catch the eye over recent seasons.

This is weekend is likely to be no different, with both sides having put in some excellent attacking performances during their 11 games so far, with Everton’s 6-2 win over Sunderland last weekend an obvious choice.

Key to both side’s attacking displays are young attacking midfielders Manuel Lanzini and Gerard Deulofeu, with both enjoying good form at the opening of the 2015/16 campaign.

We decided to take a look at the two players’ stats so far to see who comes out on top.

And it’s a win for Lanzini, as he manages to emerge victorious in five of the key attacking areas we looked at.

The Hammers star has so far enjoyed more accurate passes per game and more successful final third passes than the Spaniard.

He has also enjoyed more touches per game than Deulofeu, and fewer unsuccessful touches, while he has also managed to win more dribbling contests that his counterpart.

It is not all bad for the Everton man, though, as he has managed to be more of a creative force for his side, registering more on target attempted assists per game and more assists per game than Lanzini.

However, it is a clear win for the Argentine in this battle, and West Ham fans will be hoping it will be the same on Saturday afternoon as their side look to continue their fine start to the season with victory over the Toffees.
