The West Ham United hitman would be a useful addition for Everton.

Marco Silva the head coach

Everton seem to have all of the ingredients needed to be a real force in the Premier League.

There is one area where the Toffees need to really improve, however – their centre-forward department.

Marco Silva’s side lack any kind of ruthlessness in the final third, and the addition of an out-and-out goalscorer will surely be featuring highly on his wish-list this summer.

And with this in mind, Everton should consider a move for West Ham United hitman Javier Hernandez.

The Mexican, 31, was far from a regular starter at the London Stadium this season, making just 14 Premier League starts for the Hammers, and the Toffees should swoop in for the striker.

Chicharito does most of his best work in and around the penalty area, and he would provide Everton with something that they do not currently possess in the final third.

He has scored 203 goals for club and country, and is extensively experienced in playing at the very highest level.

The West Ham man isn’t getting any younger, obviously, but he still has a good few years ahead of him, and his arrival at Goodison Park really would be beneficial for Everton.

Much will depend on whether the east London outfit sign another striker this summer, but the Toffees should test their resolve with a bid for the 108-capped Mexico international nevertheless.
