Burnley should seriously consider a move for the West Ham United hitman.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche faces another incredibly difficult challenge ahead of him, as he looks to guide his side to a successful season, in what will most likely be the most competitive Premier League campaign since its’ inception in 1992.
One particular area of Burnley’s squad that needs addressing is the forward department, especially with Andre Gray’s future at Turf Moor growing increasingly uncertain, as rumours linking him with a move to Newcastle refuse to go away (the Chronicle).
It will be pivotally important for Dyche to bolster his striking options this summer, and with this in mind he should consider making a move for Hammers star Diafra Sakho.
He is obviously not highly rated by Slaven Bilic, after the Croatian tried to sell him to West Brom last year, before the Senegal international’s move was scuppered by a failed medical.
The 27-year-old still has a lot to offer at the highest level though, and his style of play would be perfectly suited to the Lancashire outfit’s counter-attacking system.
The former Metz hitman possesses blistering pace, which could prove to be a useful asset for the Clarets when they come up against teams who have the majority of possession and play with a high defensive line.
Diafra Sakho celebrates
Sakho barely featured for West Ham last season, after being sidelined because of a serious back injury, but he returned to full fitness towards the end of the Hammers’ campaign, and with a full pre-season’s training under hs belt, he will surely return to somewhere near his best.
The pacey striker has just one year remaining on his current deal at the London Stadium, so Burnley could secure themselves a real bargain this summer, with the East Londoners likely to be willing to listen to any kind of offer, rather than lose him for nothing next year.
And bringing Sakho to Turf Moor could turn out to be a fantastic piece of business for the Clarets.
