The West Ham United striker would be an excellent addition to the Celtic squad this summer.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers faces an incredibly challenging campaign ahead of him, if he is to guide his side to even further success this season, following last term’s unbeaten domestic campaign.

Improving in Europe will be of paramount importance to Celtic this time around, and in order to do that, Rodgers will need to bring more genuine quality to Parkhead over the course of the next month.

Moussa Dembele’s uncertain future in Glasgow will be a concern for the club, and Rodgers will surely be lining up potential replacements, to prepare for the eventuality that the 21-year-old does leave for pastures new.

And with this in mind, the Hoops should consider a move for Hammers hitman Diafra Sakho, who has just 12 months remaining on his current deal at the London Stadium.

The 27-year-old has fully recovered from the injury problems that plagued him last season, and would bring something that little bit different to the Celtic side.

Sakho possesses blistering pace over short distances, and is a willing runner. He is renowned for making tireless runs in behind the opposition’s defence which, in turn, creates more space for his teammates to operate.

He is no slouch in front of goal either, having scored 20 goals in 54 outings in all competitions during his time in east London.

The Senegal international would be a useful replacement for Dembele, should the Frenchman leave Parkhead, and his attributes would make him the ideal strike partner for Leigh Griffiths.

He shouldn’t be too costly either, with just one year left on his contract with West Ham, so Rodgers should not hesitate to bring him to Celtic.
