West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice was left jealous of Chelsea after they received a penalty on VAR last night.
Thomas Tuchel’s side were awarded a spot kick, which proved decisive, in their 2-1 win over Sheffield United, after Aaron Ramsdale clattered into Timo Werner.
And West Ham midfielder Rice was left wondering what it would be like to earn a penalty, as the Hammers have been waiting so long for the chance to score from 12 yards.
West Ham may have been feeling sorry for themselves as officiating decisions really did not go their way this weekend.
Mike Dean made headlines as he decided to send off Tomas Soucek in extremely harsh circumstances, during their game against Fulham.
Although the red card had very little impact on the result, as it came so late in the day, the decision to send Soucek off still left West Ham furious at full-time.
The Hammers have now lodged an appeal over the dismissal and The Sun believe that David Moyes’s men will win it, meaning Soucek will be available to feature in their next match.
