The West Ham United star is hopeful that his side can drag themselves clear of relegation trouble.

Hammers midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and explained how he is hopeful that he and his teammates can turn around their woeful run of form, starting with Wednesday’s trip to north London to take on Arsenal.
The Senegal international has fully established himself as a key man for West Ham, since arriving at the club in the summer of 2014, and has been instrumental for Slaven Bilic’s side this term, despite his side’s disappointing campaign as a whole.
The east Londoners currently sit in 14th position in the Premier League table but, amazingly, they could find themselves as low as 16th following this week’s round of fixtures, should other results go against them.
And Kouyate told WHUFC.com how he believes it is possible for the Hammers to turn things around:

“We know everything is not good at the moment, but it’s possible to turn the corner on Wednesday. I have my fingers crossed that we can do just that.”
With the Gunners currently in the midst of a run that has been equally as poor as West Ham’s, they themselves will be just as desperate as the Hammers for all three points.
These are worrying times for West Ham fans, with serious questions being asked regarding Slaven Bilic’s tactical nouse.
And a defeat at the Emirates would see relegation become a very real possibility.
