Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Adam Masina, who was recently linked with West Ham United.
Back in September, West Ham sent scouts to have a look at Bologna full-back Adam Masina, according to Tuttomercatoweb, as they seemingly considered potential targets who could strengthen the back line.
Masina has been impressive this season, so it would be no surprise if the Irons still had some interest in the 23-year-old, who has helped the Serie A side put themselves seventh in the top flight.
However, could their potential hopes of landing the former Italy under-21 international have now been dealt a blow with the Daily Mirror now reporting that Tottenham and Sevilla both want Masina?
Masina has just 18 months left on his contract, according to the Mirror, so he could be available for a smaller fee than a player of his quality and potential may normally command.
With that in mind, both Spurs and Sevilla are surely likely to think that pursuing a move for Masina comes with little risk – even if he only proves to be an understudy for their respective first-choice left-backs.
And with both sides able to offer Masina Champions League football and with West Ham currently looking as if they are facing a fight to stay in the Premier League this term, it seems that the Hammers may struggle to put themselves near the front of the queue – unless they suggest that Masina is most likely to enjoy regular first-team football if he heads to the London Stadium, and that is ultimately what appeals to the left-back.
