Michail Antonio impressed for West Ham against Liverpool.

West Ham United came from a goal down to earn a much-deserved draw against Liverpool at the London Stadium on Monday night.
When Sadio Mane put Liverpool ahead early on, fans would have been forgiven for fearing another home thumping by a title challenger, having been hammered by Manchester City in November.
However, West Ham stood up and gave a great account of themselves, and drew level when Michail Antonio finished off a superb free kick routine.
West Ham could have won it, as Declan Rice and Mark Noble both had great chances, before Lukasz Fabianski was called into action late on to save a Divock Origi effort.
Given that Mane’s goal should have been ruled out for offside and West Ham created better chances, Manuel Pellegrini may have been disappointed to have only taken a point – but he will be delighted with Antonio’s display.
The 28-year-old has been heavily criticised by West Ham fans over the last 18 months, but he was outstanding against Liverpool and has been turning in improved performances of late.

With a goal and two assists in his last nine outings, Antonio is starting to pick up again, with his work rate appreciated by fans after something of a tricky period, in which he was even linked with an exit.
His recent turnaround was summed up as West Ham announced on Twitter last night that Antonio had been nominated as man of the match, with fans praising him for being back in form once again.
