The West Ham United ace offered high words of praise for Tottenham Hotspur, ahead of their Champions League clash with Juventus in February.

Hammers ace Angelo Ogbonna sat down for an exclusive interview with Italian media outlet Il Corriere della Sera, and delivered his verdict on Spurs’ hopes of progressing through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League, after they drew his former club Juventus in the first knock-out stage.
Tottenham have come on leaps and bounds since Mauricio Pochettino took over as manager of the club back in May 2014, and their progress was underlined by their magnificent form in the Champions League this season, after they finished top of a group that contained European superpowers Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
Their domestic form has not been quite as impressive, however, and they currently sit in seventh position in the Premier League table, three points adrift of the Champions League spots, and a massive 21 points behind league leaders Manchester City.

Ogbonna, though, insisted that Juve will underestimate Spurs at their peril, when speaking exclusively to Il Corriere della Sera, with the two sides set to meet in the Champions League in February:

“English football is very challenging. Juventus are the favourites against Spurs but Tottenham can still win. They never give up and do not have huge weak points.”
The Lilywhites still have serious work to do on the domestic front, however, between now and their Champions League tie with the Italian champions in February.
Next up on their agenda is a trip to Burnley tomorrow, and failure to win at Turf Moor would leave their chances of finishing inside the top four in serious jeopardy.
