The West Ham United goalkeeper would be an excellent addition to the Celtic squad.
Craig Gordon’s performances for the Hoops over the past six months or so will have been a genuine concern for Brendan Rodgers, and he will surely be targeting an experienced stopper during the off-season, as he looks to guide this side to a successful campaign both home and abroad this season.
With this in mind, Celtic should consider a move for Hammers ‘keeper Adrian. The Spaniard is by no means guaranteed first-team football at West Ham this term, especially with Slaven Bilic’s desire to bring Joe Hart to the London Stadium.
The 30-year-old is a sound performer, and somewhat of a cult hero in east London, after forming a close bond with the West Ham faithful.

That would surely not stop him from being tempted into a switch to Parkhead, however, especially if he was guaranteed regular action, along with the added bonus of Champions League football on offer in Glasgow.
Adrian joined the Hammers four years ago on a free transfer, and has gone on to establish himself as a key figure at the club, making 123 appearances in the process. He lost his place mid-way through let season, however, following a poor run of form, and could very well be made available this summer if, or more likely when, Hart arrives at the London Stadium.
He does still have two years remaining on his current deal with West Ham, however, so Celtic will have to pay a fairly sizeable fee in order to tempt the east London outfit into selling.
It may also prove to be difficult to persuade the 30-year-old into swapping the Premier League for the Scottish Premiership, but the lure of playing in front of nearly 60,000 at Parkhead every other week, and the prospect of playing in Europe’s premier competition might just be enough to sway him.
