The West Ham United goalkeeper has been nominated for London’s best goalkeeper award.

West Ham stopper Adrian has been nominated for the London Football Awards Goalkeeper of the Year, and he told the club’s official website how it is a sign that his hard-work is beginning to pay dividends.
The Spaniard joined the Hammers from Real Betis in the summer of 2013 on a free transfer, and has since gone on the become somewhat of a cult hero with the West Ham fans.

When Joe Hart arrived at the London Stadium on a season-long loan in the summer of 2017, Adrian was relegated to the Hammers’ number two goalkeeper, but he continued to work hard, and eventually got his break in December, when Hart was ineligible to face his parent club Manchester City.
Since then, the 31-year-old hasn’t looked back, and has really impressed for David Moyes’ side.
Adrian spoke to the club’s official website, having been nominated for the London Football Awards Goalkeeper of the Year, and highlighted how it serves as evidence of his fine form this season:

“I am really pleased to be one of those nominated. There are some good goalkeepers in London so I am delighted to be recognised as one of the best. It’s a sign that I am doing a great job for the team and now people around me have validated it by nominating me for this Award.”
With the likes of Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris and Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois also up for the award, Adrian’s chances of winning it seem slim to say the least, but he can be proud of his efforts this season nevertheless.
