West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the departure of Mick McCarthy from Ipswich Town.

McCarthy has left Ipswich earlier than expected following the win against Barnsley in the Championship on Tuesday evening.

The former Sunderland and Wolverhampton Wanderers manager was due to leave the Tractor Boys at the end of the season.

West Ham defender Cresswell was on the books of Ipswich from 2011 until 2014 before joining the Hammers for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Star to be worth £3.75 million.

The 28-year-old England international left-back, who earns £50,000 per week as salary at West Ham according to the Daily Star, has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the departure of McCarthy from Ipswich.

Ipswich are 12th in the Championship table at the moment with 56 points from 42 matches, while West Ham are currently 14th in the Premier League table with 34 points from 32 games.
