West Ham United are being strongly linked with a move for Mexican winger Jurgen Damm this week. The Sun is reporting that Damm is a £4 million target for Slaven Bilic’s side and that the six-cap Mexico international is keen on a move to London.

It is not the first time that the 24-year-old has been linked with a move to England. In fact, he once had a trial at Manchester United.

In February 2013, whilst Sir Alex Ferguson was still manager at Old Trafford, he underwent a two-week trial with the Red Devils. The German passport holding star was a player with Estudiantes Tecos at the time and had been recommended to Fergie by then-Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

No Manchester United move ever came about and he joined Pachuca that summer before heading to current club Tigres UANL in 2015.

Now West Ham United appear to want to bring him back to England, but on a more permanent basis. If he does return, Hammers fans will hope he can prove Manchester United wrong for not giving him a chance.
