Defender Oxford’s future at West Ham remains in doubt.

West Ham United defender Reece Oxford has posted a picture of himself on his Instagram story in a Paris Saint-Germain shirt, as his future at the club remains in doubt.
The 19-year-old defender was loaned to Borussia Monchengladbach for the entire 2017-18 campaign, returning to West Ham in January before rejoining Gladbach just weeks later after appearing in the FA Cup.

Gladbach have made it no secret that they would like to keep Oxford, in a move that would be another example of English players moving to the Bundesliga, following Ademola Lookman, Jadon Sancho and Keanan Bennetts.

With his future yet to be decided, Oxford posted a picture on his Instagram that saw the versatile star dressed in a PSG shirt.

The breakthrough of Declan Rice has certainly made England youth international Oxford more expendable, while the club-record move for Issa Diop from Ligue 1 side Toulouse surely pushes Oxford closer to the exit door.
It remains to be seen what West Ham decide to do in regards to Oxford’s future, with three years remaining on his current contract. But with Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna, Rice and Diop on the books, it looks unlikely that Oxford will get a first-team chance.
