West Ham youngster Nathan Holland starred in the club’s first pre-season match.

The talented winger played in West Ham’s loss to Swiss side FC Wintherthur.

Holland was one of West Ham’s brighter players and he felt happy to be back playing.

Holland signed for West Ham from Everton two years ago and he has been consistently impressive for the under-23 side.

He made his Hammers debut last season in the League Cup, before his campaign was halted by injury.

Now with a fresh start under new boss Manuel Pellegrini, Holland hopes to establish himself as a first team player.

Strong performances in pre-season give him a chance, although a rumoured swoop for Andriy Yarmolenko, via SkySports will make his prospects more difficult.
