West Ham youngster Jahmal Hector-Ingram netted for the under-23s last night.

Promising West Ham youngster Jamal Hector-Ingram marked his return from injury with a goal for the under-23s.
Hector-Ingram, 19, scored a winner in the Premier League International Cup group game against Porto.

Hector-Ingram’s late goal was an impressive one, taking on three opponents before firing into the net.
The youngster has missed most of the past year due to injury and said he has found it tough.
Speaking to West Ham’s official website, he said: “It’s been a bit of a head-loss for me really being injured, it’s been really hard.
“It’s not a nice time but it’s part and parcel of football and you know you just have to keep working hard and work for that opportunity
“It was a sweet moment for me. I’ve been working hard to get here, so this moment was sweet and I’ll enjoy it for quite a few days.”

The young striker now hopes to get a run of games for the under-23s to prove he is well and truly past his injury troubles.
This goal should be the confidence booster he needs to kick on, and his progress will be intriguing to watch from this point, with West Ham desperate for a young striker to one day come through their academy and star for the first team.
