Previously on Chelsea’s books before joining West Ham in 2014, Rice has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at U21 level and looks set for a bright future for both club and country.
Rice still has some way to go to establish himself as a regular in the West Ham starting lineup and it is clear that he has some improvements to make, but he has developed very well this season and is constantly seeking to improve.
Rather than bringing in a new centre-back in January, Moyes should look to give Rice opportunities to impress where possible and progress even further.
