West Ham United are reportedly turning their attention to Joan Jordan.

According to Marca, West Ham United have made an offer to sign Eibar midfielder Joan Jordan after seemingly giving up hope of signing Andre Gomes.
The Hammers are looking for a real ball-playing midfielder to join Mark Noble and Declan Rice but appear to have hit a wall in their attempts to sign Everton loanee Gomes.
The Daily Mail claim that Gomes has rejected a move to West Ham in favour of a potential permanent move to Everton, and West Ham are now pursuing alternatives.
Eibar ace Jordan appears to be one of them after a four-goal, four-assist season, and whilst there’s strong competition for his signature, West Ham can strike a real bargain.
The 24-year-old playmaker has a €15million (£13million) release clause in his deal, and whilst West Ham have offered less than that for now, even if they pay the full price, it’s still a smart move.
Jordan is a skilful dribbler, carving out space for himself to use the ball, and when he does, it’s always dangerous. He’s a fine crosser of the ball, and he won’t hesitate to shoot from range either.

Jordan is also an accomplished set-piece taker, and combines many of the attributes that have made Spanish midfielders so good in recent recent years – outstanding close control and a strong passing range.
At just £13million, Jordan would be considerably cheaper than Gomes, and the same goes for wages too. He may not be as big of a name as Gomes is, but Jordan could be a clever under-the-radar addition, immediately strengthening Manuel Pellegrini’s midfield without breaking the bank.
