Everton are reportedly keen on signing the West Ham United defender.

According to a report from Sky Sports News, Everton are weighing up a £3m bid for West Ham defender Reece Oxford, but the Hammers would be mad to accept anything like that amount for the 19-year-old.
Oxford burst onto the scene with West Ham three years ago with an incredible performance against Arsenal, but he has strangely failed to kick on from then.
He has spent loan spells away from the Hammers with Reading and Borussia Monchengladbach, but he has never really lived up to expectations.
That isn’t to say that he doesn’t have a lot to offer at the very highest level, though, and West Ham would be foolhardy to give up on him so soon.
Oxford is obviously still very young, and given confidence, as well as the opportunity of regular game-time, he could very well go on to become one of the league’s best defenders.

Manuel Pellegrini has already spent heavily, including the signings of central defenders Fabian Balbuena and Issa Diop, so the 19-year-old might find regular first-team action hard to come by.
West Ham should keep the faith in the youngster, however, and sanctioning his exit to Everton for just £3 million would be beyond poor business from the east London outfit.
