West Ham United ace Declan Rice has been praised on Twitter by former teammate Jack Wilshere after his latest display against Rapid Vienna.
The Hammers beat Rapid Vienna 2-0 on Thursday night with Rice once again on the scoresheet.
Rice opened the scoring from Michail Antonio’s pass before Said Benrahma added a second late on.
This was Rice’s second goal in the Europa League this season – Rice also scored in the 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb.
Rice adding to his game
Some maybe thought that Rice was a water carrier in midfield, but he is really proving those ideas wrong.
Having shown his ability to carry the ball for England in the Euro 2020 final against Italy, Rice has continued to impress going forward this term.
Rice seems to be adding more and more attacking play to his game.
He already has two assists in the Premier League. Rice also has eight key passes and 10 dribbles in just six Premier League outings this term.
Rice is much, more more than just a holding midfielder, and his Europa League goals for West Ham show that.

Wilshere praises Rice
Former West Ham midfielder Wilshere has taken to Twitter to react to Rice’s display against Rapid Vienna.
Wilshere played with Rice during their time together at the London Stadium, and it’s clear he is a big fan.
Wilshere simply tweeted ‘what a player’ about Rice, something West Ham fans would likely echo.
