West Ham will reportedly listen to offers for technically-gifted defender

West Ham United are open to selling Arthur Masuaku in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

It has been reported that Masuaku is among a number of players West Ham will listen to offers for.

Manuel Lanzini, Felipe Anderson and Jack Wilshere are among the players named in the report who are for sale.

Masuaku has been on the books of West Ham since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Greek giants Olympiakos.

The 26-year-old is a left-back by trade, but he has operated as a left-sided midfielder on occasions as well, with West Ham’s official website describing him as a ‘technically-gifted’ player.

According to WhoScored, the DR Congo international left-back made 10 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for West Ham during the 2019-20 campaign, providing one assist in the process.

During the 2018-19 campaign, the left-back made 19 starts and four substitute appearances in the league for the Hammers, providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.

Masuaku has made mistakes from time to time at left-back, and if West Ham are able to sell him and sign a better player for the position, then it would be sensible.
