Leeds are reportedly interested in West Ham defender Reece Burke.

Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing West Ham United talent Reece Burke this summer, but face plenty of competition from Championship rivals and north of the border. But the Hammers may use Leeds’ interest to their advantage.
Burke impressed on loan with Bolton Wanderers last season, and even appeared for the Hammers in three FA Cup clashes under David Moyes back in January – scoring against Shrewsbury Town.

The 6ft 2in star has a contract at West Ham until the summer of 2020, but the Hammers may look to do a deal with Leeds over the other interested parties – if they can strike a player-plus-cash deal involving Burke for Pontus Jansson.
Last month, TeamTalk claimed Leeds’ £12m-rated defender Jansson was interesting the Hammers ahead of a possible summer switch. The Sweden international is currently with his national side ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
Jansson, 27, is a fan favourite at Elland Road and it would certainly take a lot for the former Torino defender to leave, with four years left to run on his current contract.

But with Leeds interested in Burke, surely the Hammers could land their man by including Burke in a deal with a wedge of cash? The move would give Leeds a ready-made replacement, as well as a decent fee to reinvest elsewhere.
In a move that could benefit all parties, West Ham would land their man in Jansson, while Leeds would be able to spend money on problem areas such as up front and at left-back.
