West Ham United host Stoke City at the London Stadium on Saturday.
This weekend sees West Ham United take on Stoke City at the London Stadium.
Both sides struggled for their best for at the beginning of the campaign, at one point finding themselves in the bottom three.
Things have picked up for both in recent weeks, with West Ham moving themselves up to 17th and Stoke into 12th, the Potters having won their last three consecutive games.
Both sides have found their strikers struggling for goals, with Wilfried Bony having to wait until the win over Swansea City this week for his first and Simone Zaza yet to find the back of the net for the Hammers.
They will likely play a key part in the game on Saturday, so how do the two players compare so far? We decided to take a look.
| Shots per Game | Shots on Target per Game | Shooting Accuracy | Goals | Assists | Key Passes per Game | Accurate Passes per Game | Passing Accuracy | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Simone Zaza | 2 | 0.14 | 0% | 0 | 0 | 1.14 | 8.86 | 67% | 7 | 431 |
| Wilfried Bony | 2.57 | 0.57 | 11% | 2 | 0 | 0.86 | 17.43 | 70% | 7 | 545 |
As it turns out, Bony has had the better start to the campaign as he comes out on top in six of the eight areas analysed.
So far he has registered more shots per game, 2.57 compared to two, and more shots on target, 0.57 compared to 0.14.
He has also enjoyed the better shooting accuracy, 11% compared to 0%, and, obviously, scored more goals than the Italian.
West Ham United’s Simone Zaza looks dejected
Neither has managed to register an assist, although Zaza has the better number of key passes per game, 1.14 compared to 0.86.
Bony, though, has posted more accurate passes, 17.43 compared to 8.86 and enjoyed a better passing accuracy, 70% compared to 67%.
A win for the Ivorian then and Stoke City will be hoping he comes out on top again when they travel to the London Stadium on Saturday.
